اثارت تصريحات ادلى بها القيادي في المجلس الانتقالي احمد بن بريك وهدد فيها المملكة العربية السعودية جدلا واسع النطاق في اليمن.

كان بن بريك قد ادلى بتصريحات هاجم فيها السفير السعودي والادارة السعودية مهددا باطلاق تظاهرات ضد المملكة في محافظات جنوب اليمن.

ولاقت هذه التصريحات تأييدا في صفوف بعض نشطاء المجلس الانتقالي إلا ان القيادي في المجلس الانتقالي هاني بن بريك ابدى اتمعاض سابق لتصريحات سابقة بهذا الخصوص وأكد على ضرورة الحفاظ على الود مع المملكة .

تصريحات بن بريك وبحسب مراقبين دفعت العلاقة المتأزمة بين الانتقالي والمملكة إلى مرحلة جديدة قد تتضمن توترا اضافيا.

ووصلت لجنة سعودية إلى عدن قبل أيام بهدف تطبيق الشق العسكري من اتفاق الرياض إلا انه وعقب وصولها بايام أعلن المجلس تعليقه المشاركة في مشاورات الرياض.

ودعا نشطاء في المجلس الانتقالي لوقف بعض التصريحات الغير محسوبة العواقب .
