أكد ناطق المقاومة الجنوبي في عدن الأستاذ علي الأحمدي أن رفع شعار (جنوبية حضرموت) الغرض منه قمع أي صوت حضرمي لا يؤيد تمثيل فصيل واحد للجنوب كله .
وقال الأحمد في تغريدة له، :"هل تستطيع حضرموت بنفسها أو بتظافر محافظات الإقليم معها أن تكون رقماً فاعلاً ومؤثراً لتفرض في الجنوب ما تراه أليق بها وبالإقليم؟ أم أنها ستكتفي بتشكيل المكونات فقط وعند الجد يذهب سيلها لغير أهله وتكتفي بالجلوس في مقاعد المتفرجين على فريقين فقط يحتكران الجنوب؟".
وأشار الأحمدي إلى أن هناك فصيل سياسي يرفع شعار (جنوبية حضرموت) من أجل قمع أي صوت حضرمي لا يؤيد ويقبل فكرة أن الجنوب بكله حق حصري له – في إشارة إلى المجلس الانتقالي .
وبين الأحمد أن شعار جنوبية حضرموت شعار استحواذي أكثر منه تشاركي، مبيناً أن هذا الفصيل الجنوبي تواجده الحقيقي لا يتجاوز بضع مديريات وسكانها لا يتجاوز عددهم عدد مديرية من مديريات حضرموت !!.

Al-Ahmadi indicated that there is a political faction raising the slogan (Southern Hadhramaut) in order to suppress any Hadrami voice that does not support and accepts the idea that the entire south has an exclusive right to it - in reference to the Transitional Council.
And Al-Ahmad indicated that the Southern Hadhramaut slogan is an obsessive slogan more than participatory, indicating that this southern faction has a real presence that does not exceed a few directorates and their population does not exceed the number of Hadramout districts !!.
