اكد رئيس دائرة العلاقات الخارجية بالمجلس الانتقالي الجنوبي الناشط السياسي احمد عمر بن فريد العولقي عبر تغريدة نشرها على موقع "تويتر" ردا على سفير اليمن بالاردن الناشط السياسي اليمني علي العمراني الذي حذر من تقسيم اليمن من خلال نشره لسلسلة تغريدات على موقع "تويتر":
وقال بن فريد في تغريدة له: " إذا اسقطنا حقنا المشروع في إستعادة دولتنا لغرض النقاش مع نظريتك الأمنية المفلسة، عليك أن تعترف أنه في حال بقاء الوحدة فسوف يمتد نفوذ إيران وتركيا الإخوان بطريقة شرعية إلى كل مساحة الجنوب التي لا يوجد لهما فيها الآن اي نفوذ وهذا سيشكل هدية خليجية مجانية للخصوم وضربة لأمنهم الوطني".
