أكد المجلس الانتقالي الجنوبي وقوفه إلى جانب مصر وحقها في الدفاع عن حدودها ومصالحها.
جاء ذلك خلال بيان للناطق باسم هيئة المجلس الانتقالي الجنوبي "نزار هيثم" جاء فيه:
يؤكد المجلس الانتقالي الجنوبي على أن الأمن الوطني والقومي لجمهورية مصر العربية جزء لا يتجزأ من أمن المنطقة والإقليم، وان ذات التهديد الذي باتت مصر تواجهه اليوم هو جزء من التهديدات القائمة التي تواجهها المنطقة بدعم من تركيا وإيران عبر اذرعها في المنطقة وعلى وجه الخصوص جماعة الإخوان المسلمين وجماعة الحوثي والميليشيات الإرهابية الأخرى في عموم المنطقة العربية.
يقف المجلس الإنتقالي إلى جانب مصر الشقيقة، مشدداً على حقها في الدفاع عن حدودها ومصالحها وأمن شعبها من كافة التهديدات، ومؤكداً بذات الوقت اننا في حرب حقيقية لمواجهة نفس التهديدات التي تقودها هذه الجماعات الممولة من نفس الجهات الإقليمية التي طالما رعت الإرهاب والتطرف.
وفي هذا الصدد، ندعو المجتمع الدولي والإقليمي الى القيام بدوره ومسؤولياته، من خلال اجراءات جادة من شأنها الإسهام في محاربة الإرهاب ومكافحة التطرف، ومواجهة الدول التي تغذيه وتموله.

The Southern Transitional Council affirmed its support for Egypt and its right to defend its borders and interests.
This came during a statement by the spokesperson for the Southern Transitional Council, "Nizar Haitham," which stated:
The Southern Transitional Council affirms that the national and national security of the Arab Republic of Egypt is an integral part of the security of the region and the region, and that the same threat that Egypt is facing today is part of the existing threats facing the region with support from Turkey and Iran through its arms in the region and in particular the Brotherhood Muslims, the Houthi group and other terrorist militias throughout the Arab region.
